Atkinsons is a family-owned department store in the heart of Sheffield.
The store has been trading for over 150 years and sells an extensive range of products from fashion and furniture to home and lighting.
What they needed.
Atkinsons approached us looking to promote their 150th-anniversary sale. They wanted to create a video that showcased their offering and what products you can buy in-store.
The goal was to drive footfall on the day of the sales consisting of both old and new customers.
What we did.
To help promote their anniversary sales we developed a series of short, engaging videos throughout the event.
The videos showcased a snapshot of Atkinsons’ history and product offerings. These were then distributed to their target audience across TV and social media.
What results they got.
As a result of TV and Facebook advertising, the first day of sales resulted in a queue of over 300 customers.
The videos helped to build anticipation and pre-engagement around the sales. Generating 183,000 views on TV and 120,000 views on social media, the store ended up 6% over target.
